The natural unfolding of a family dream

A story shaped by hands, grounded in the land, and always looking ahead.

“It’s thanks to our father, Flavio, that we get to walk these vineyards today and call them our own. He took the first steps with care and chose to believe in this place, guided by the instinct of someone who saw its true potential.”

Today, that vision carries a name: Minerdi.
Umberto and Simone are the heart of it — brothers, winemakers, storytellers. Umberto breathes wine. Simone works the vines. Together, they’ve taken what they inherited and brought it to the next level: a winery of their own. A label that speaks of hard work and ambition. A dream taking shape, bottle after bottle.

Because in our family, wine has always been part of the story. And every wine is a renewed act — a step that brings together those who came before, those who are here now, and those still to come.

Our work is done with patience and consistency. First the gesture, then the theory. First the vineyard, then the cellar. Here, time isn’t measured in speed. There’s still the luxury of waiting, of letting each act follow its natural course. Everything is done by hand. In the cellar, intervention is minimal — the grapes guide the vintage.

We give wine a voice, with the clarity and humility of those who know their roots and understand that wine is never improvised.

The result is a focused collection: fresh, subtle, elegant wines. By style and by nature. Numbered bottles that speak clearly — a perfect balance between the identity of the grape and the intention of the one who interprets it.
We have chosen a clean, respectful way of farming, certified under the SQNPI standard. Because for us, being winemakers is a stance — a conscious way of living the land and the rhythm of time. But before anything else, we are an independent voice. One that believes in wine that’s accessible, shared, part of everyday life. A new voice to taste. One that brings together people, places, and moments. And that stays with you.

There are places that can’t be easily defined.

Our vineyards stretch along the ridge that both separates — and connects — Langhe and Monferrato, between Neive and Castagnole delle Lanze. A clear boundary, distinct in its character, where the hills soften or sharpen and the soils shift.

To the west, the Sant’Agata marl typical of Langhe stands out for its structure and its ability to give depth to reds made to age. On the other side, in Monferrato, the soil changes: clays, sands, and mineral sediments give the wines drinkability, freshness, and energy. The vineyards sit where these lands meet. Different expressions of one identity and a single story that defines this part of Piedmont. The vineyards sit where these lands meet. Different expressions of one identity and a single story that defines this part of Piedmont.

Within this diversity, our grapes find their true calling. Some are fresher, others built for structure and longevity. Each plot is managed with a tailored approach: watch, wait, and intervene as little as possible. Minerdi’s land isn’t one to be simplified. It’s a crossroads of quality — not about choosing, but interpreting. And that’s how every harvest is met: through ongoing dialogue between land, climate, and result. With the desire — and privilege — to capture in each bottle the authenticity of a unique landscape, full of shades and contrasts. Protected by the hands that tend it.

Among hills that change their face, here the dividing line becomes the place where everything comes together. Where others draw imaginary borders, we explores new possibilities. With all the care every gesture deserves.
